The Theoretical and Pedagogical Bases are aimed at providing adult education teachers, trainers, volunteers and educators with a relevant theoretical and pedagogical referent document for the empowerment of migrant women through LESLLA and foreign language proficiency methods and resources.
The information provided in this document is structured on the basis of the five Learning Units identified in the first intellectual output of the project: the ELLE Training Guide on Empowerment of migrant women through Literacy and Language Learning.
The Theoretical and Pedagogical Bases provide a detailed analysis and description of relevant cutting-edge theoretical fundamentals and pedagogical approaches to improve foreign language proficiency of low skilled migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women in order to empower their active participation in society, through LESLLA: Low-Educated adult Second Language and Literacy Acquisition (also Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults).

- Pedagogical approaches: ways in which teachers apply LESSLA and foreign language proficiency methods and resources when teaching their discipline, related with theory and practice of teaching.
